Or the government could simpley reverse the daft laws. They were only put in on a knee jerk reaction anyway.

And IIRC didn't the Police want to take away the weapons and licence from the shooter? A review and a tightening of the regs and procedures would have been more in line.

And that is just from the firearms prospective.

There are membership categories for those with and without full time military service. Whats the problem, even old ex army can join!
However for me to find a serving captain or sgt that knows me they would have had to joined after I left!

I think the categories have more to do with the fact that there is or was a TA RA and the non reg service category is simply that, no full time service.
That would allow a member to get his her son or daughter in!

Ugly ... you're current over there.
How does one get this guy going?
Is Simon still "managing" TARA? Or is Steve now [mercifully] in charge?

Edit ... good old TARA, a year behind on the website.

    TARA is in there somewhere

Talk to Steve Ellis ... he's useful.

I must sound awfully negative, sorry. I really enjoy shooting, used to shoot for Greater London (before the ban) as a youth but have never shot outside regt SAAMs with the TA, as it was all rifle and no pistol.

No it was other legal shooters that kept warning the police that the guy was not fit to have firearms. This happened for Hungerford and Dunblane in both cases the Police ignored what they were being told.
