Agree sadly - can't trust the British judicial system to dispense appropriate justice at the moment.

Re the last few comments on Abu Hamza and the shoe bomber,these 2 should be stripped of citizenship and HMG should wash their hands if them.

A friend of mine works for a US company and had to sign something called the Sarbanes-Oxley Act(not sure of the exact spelling of this),and the upshot of this is if you breach this you can be tried in the good old US of A.

It seems the spams are setting themselves up as the world masters.

That'll be Sovereignty, the exclusive right to complete control over an area of governance, people, or oneself.
We have our own laws to deal with people like that and the US is claiming to overrule them and kidnap whoever they want if they see fit, without evidence and without using the legal structures already in place.

Can anyone actually explain what some members of this board have against Shami Chakrabati and Liberty? I've just done a quick search, and there's lots of ad hominem venom, but not alot of actual criticism of particular actions etc. What's she done wrong? I find myself agreeing with everything she says when on the telly.
