You've got that bit right, and for the next 500 years as well.

If anyone thinks for one second that the Islamic world is going to just sit on its backside while Bush launches another war of aggression on yet another Muslim country, then they are sadly mistaken.

The hatred and enmity that will follow an attack on Iran is going to last generations and the consequences are going to be disastrous.

Muslims are going to be outraged and quite frankly want blood, and believe you me plenty of infidel blood is going to flow. Boarding a train or a plane is going to be a very hazardous experience for oh the next 100 years or so.

In fact I wouldnt be surprised if there were race riots in Europe, thats what a senior cleric told me he feared most, just the other week.

Some may scoff...but who thought Iraq would turn out as bad as it did?

For what its worth I dont believe the military option, such a sanitized term, would even work and I dont think Dubya, mad as he is, would seriously contemplate such an attack.
What a load of bigoted hate filled rubbish, I had thought you had decided to post more sensibly of late, and was begining to even read your posts, now you seem to have reverted to the same throbber who see's hezbollah as heroes.

It begs the question, what are you doing posting on here, the vast ammount of people you aspire to serve with will be (in your own words) infidels.

I by no means wish to see muslims cast out from our shores or discriminated against, nor do I want a bloody war with Iran (i just think we should have stood up to them at the time) , but I would hope that the sensible muslim people would put you straight, and tell you to shove it when you start raving about infidels blood flowing in the streets.

If you feel that strongly, instead of threataining to blow up infidels on planes and tubes vote against the current government, thats the way we do things in the UK, and for the posters on here who are sticking up for you and calling critisism of you racism I would quote churchill "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last"

Taz that is an absolutly disgusting post and I hope you think before writing such tripe next time, I actually enjoy reading some posts of some muslims on here, nehustan often gives an interesting perspective without the hate for the infidels.

I agree with you Halo. Blagsta, you have spent time in Lebanon, and must understand the concept of 'blood feud'? Taz has stated nothing other than that, which as HJ states is not Rocket Science. You yourself, from your own perspective admittedly, verify Taz's point by your negative attitude. I'm guessing your attitude didn't just spring out of thin air. Let's ask you, given the events under discussion what do you think would happen? Exactly the same as Taz I'll bet you. You could say this admittedly flavoured by your own style of rhetoric, why can't Taz?? If you said it it would be a warning, but when Taz does its a threat?
I've made no threats, nor will I.

    Taz has, it's that simple.
I didn't say you had made any threats, you miss the point. You say islam is barbaric, from your learnéd experience, there's a whole subtext of warnings against the evil you consider Islam.

Taz, while probably not agreeing with you about the intricacies of religion, has stated what he thinks a likely response in the UK (in fact has had a conversation with an elder about said elder's worries) and beyond that the likely repercussions of an attack on Iran throughout the Muslim world, including the ones that are quite happy to 'puff' in a cloud of smoke.

From where I'm sitting seems you are saying exactly the same thing, only difference is perspectives.

I expect Taz's file in the registry now has a nice link to yours, post your phone call
Nehustan, I think the language used in Taz's post betrays his feelings, when he talks about seeing the blood of the infidels flow that is pretty overt hatred, and can't be explained away or excused.

I don't think it does, I think he is using the languague for effect, and it is exactly what people will say. I can't reconcile what you say Taz means with some of the more risqué and jovial things Taz says to fellow Arrsers, most of whom would strictly come under the banner of infidel; mind you saying that for radicals who go 'poof' in a cloud of smoke most muslims must be infidels really, otherwise how could they kill them so readily?

I will never understand how they justify that either.

As for Taz, if what nehustan says is true (about yourpost not being serious) you need to come on here and clarify what your motives were for that post!

Surely Gordon Brown realizes his unique place in history, his solemn responsibility and his opportunity right now, as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, to strike a decisive blow against Islamism in defense of Western Civilization.
Somehow I don't think Broon is eager to shoulder the white man's burden just for the sake of it. The British have been there and done that. The man is a careful Scot and I'm not seeing a profit margin in it. He may not be Cardinal Richelieu but he is plainly not an emotionally incontinent easily scared fool. Persia is not where the game is. It's a childish distraction from harsh reality.
I doubt he's troubled at all by infantile notions of "white man's burden".

Indeed, I'm certain he realizes the absolute necessity of emasculating clueless Iranian bravado.

Destroying the Islamic Revolution of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini is entirely a good thing.

I move that on all matters pertaining to "clueless bravado" we defer to Lipo's wealth of experience and expertise.

Yup, racist describes you just fine.
Mate, I'm more or less on your side when it comes to this particular bunfight, but Blagsta has a point here.

I live in LA, the city with the largest number of Iranians outside Iran (1/3 of Beverly Hills residents are Persian) and although some of the ladies are quite pretty, most of them go through a beauty regimen every fortnight most of you will only have only seen in the waxing scene in the 40 Year-Old Virgin.

I didn't see anything Taz said in his post that was hateful or bigoted. In fact, it's likely something I would have said and I am an infidel, to the Islamics and the Christians and any other religion. He may have more insight than us, I assume he is Muslim, but he only speaks of reality. In fact, the cleric he mentions seems to fear the outcome, not relish in it. I get the same meaning from him as well. Not all Muslims are radicals and most of them are just as worried about the radicals as you and I are.

Well I can't say I've met a lot of Iranian women but I've met a few. Some are attractive and some, not so much. I think it's true of any group of people.= from any country. But living in LA, I can only assume they've come under the spell of Big Macs and all the growth hormones they contain. That would put hair on anyone.
