I remember being 'gravely concerned' once, my toast kept burning regardless of setting. God we must be a ****ing joke to everyone.

I would actually laugh out loud (or LOL for the kids) if Syria or whoever we are gravely concerned/outraged at just said "**** off ballbag! What are you going to do?"

They don't have to take them on, they just have to tell them, explicitly, not to annoy the Syrians. Game over.

Edit:- Sooner or later the Russians are going to call America/NATO's bluff, they tried in Serbia but despite the best efforts of a certain Septic general they didn't really get the chance to showboat there. Syria (and their sole Med port) might be their line in the sand.
How dare you impugn the strategy of Wes the Weasel, his is the superior Intellect.... he went on to Brilliance I tells ya. Sadly though he tried to be Obamas Mil Advisor, thank god no one was listening to him though.

You mean like when the IDF bombed some Syrian complex and the Russians just looked at their feet and muttered under their breath?

If the Turks say 'bollox' and attack, what can the Russians actually do other than huff, puff and posture?
Warning, this post contains some flash photography.

Exactly, can't see the Russians willing to chance WW3 to save Assad which is what even a punitive attack on Turkey could cause.
