Ben Parkinson & The Olympic Cock-Up

I have just heard that the plan for Ben Parkinson to carry the Olympic Torch through Doncaster this week will have to be scrapped.

Despite him having two prosthetic legs some bloody idiot has asigned him a stretch of the relay with a hill despite Doncaster being generally as flat as The Netherlands.

Ben had been training to use his legs and was determined to walk rather than use a chair but the hill is likely to be one challenge too far at this stage of his recovery.

"so where did you train to be a terrorist?"
    "At the Suicide Bomber facility"

Surely a re-jig on the legs (no pun intended) is the easiest way to resolve this??? Either that or sabotage it on the day. If only an ex-squaddie was in charge of making sure the right people get dropped off at the right place!!!!

If the ta thread is anything to go by, if the forces were organising it then the mt with ben on would turn up 45 minutes after cutoff, but a good few hours before the torch arrived. They'd then be sent home to see if they could get it done properly the next day.
