And while we're at it, let’s fuck off anything east of the Greenwich Meridian - the Ginger-headed, Anglo-Jutish bellends. And FREE WESSEX!
    Dear heart,
You appear to have left two groups out of the equation, the Orcadians and the Friğarey: They want to reunite with their brothers and sisters on Shetland and then join forces with the Norgies, taking their oil barrels with them. Alex Salmond has failed to realize that the people of the Northern Isles are extremely hostile to Scottish independence and prefer being governed from Westminster or Oslo rather than from Holyrood. Everyone should remember these islands were part of Norway, not Scotland, until the late 15th century. As for the oil and gas revenues – sorry Mr Salmond has a big black hole in his financial projections if the Northern Isles carry out their threat.

One other thing most lowland Scots do not understand a word the people of the Northern Isles say, Shaetlan (the local language) is closer to Germanic Norse than it is to English.

I am like a Bugatti Veyron. Good to look at, runs on refined spirit, purrs and rumbles at low levels, but you know I can go immensely insane when I want to and if handled incorrectly might just possibly kill you. What more could you ask for?

Why the fuck would I wish to trawl through your posts 'Oh proud Scot/Briton'? What relevance would that have had? I did read your post (singular) 'properly enough' though and deduced from it that you were actually talking about something you knew nothing about, so I corrected you. Politicians (x2) 'suggested' nothing actually if the truth be known. They were questioned by the Daily Telegraph who mischievously put the question to them and the BBC got wind of it. They were hardly going to say anything in support of the Nats now were they? The intended 'seed' however hasn't as yet developed beyond the confines of one or two local bars.

And for fucks sake, stop the "I'm a proud Scot" thing will you? Nobody cares, it proves nothing and it makes you sound like one of those tame kilt wearing 'Highlanders' that hung around Balmoral in Victorian times.

LOL! Again, had you read properly, you would have deduced that I am a Scottish realist rather than the skirt wearing dreamers.

An interesting aside about the Shetland and Orkney islands is that they think they are Nordic. DNA studies show that they are mostly from the island of Britain just like most Scots.

I take it you're an islander? In that case why not independence? After all, the Highlands and Islands are different culturally from the lowlanders, you would, as you say, get all the oil and you'd all be swimming in cash. You could use it to provide individual tutors for every child, free university places. Invested wisely in industry and education you could turn the country into a kind of northern Switzerland, without the cuckoo clocks. But if you've got to fund the workshy and stupid in Glasgow and Ayrshire the money will just get pissed up against the wall.

Not at the moment as I am serving outside of Scotland. So, putting it another way what part of Scotland do you live in?

All I've 'deduced' is that you're a 'bell end' who talks shite with authority and who needs to look up the definition of 'relevance' in the dictionary.

Shetlands already do that. They have circa £200 million for their Shetland Islands Council’s pension fund and oil reserves and also Shetland Charitable Trust makes a tidy sum from its stock market investments
