Not satisfied with sponging of the tax payers in the pursuit of fine dining and the quaffing of expensive wines, it now appears our hard up MP’s now require assistance purchasing petrol to attend the 2011 Remembrance Parade.

With petrol at, say, 1.45 a litre or thereabouts, he'll probably organise a PFI to provide him with a tank full (by 201 at a bargain price of £7.00 per litre.

Nice to hear from the voice of reason. Do I think it's outrageous, not really but I do find it strange that an MP on over £100,000 a year feels the need to claim a piddling amount to attend a service of remembrance with his own constituents and then make a claim that most probably cost more to process than it is in claims.
