North Korea has almost completed preparations for a third nuclear test, a senior source with close ties to Pyongyang and Beijing told Reuters, which will draw further international condemnation following a failed rocket launch if it goes ahead.
The isolated and impoverished state sacrificed the chance of closer ties with the United States when it launched the long-range rocket on April 13 and was censured by the U.N. Security Council, including the North's sole major ally, China.
Critics say the rocket launch was aimed at honing the North's ability to develop an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of hitting the United States, a move that would dramatically increase its military and diplomatic heft.
Now the North appears to be about to carry out a third nuclear test after two in 2006 and 2009.Rest of the article here:

I think that any attempt by the North to blitz the South would result in an impressive demonstration of the vulnerability of mechanised forces to an opponent with air supremacy...

I suppose the fair way to settle this is as follows :
1 x Bn of ROK special forces vs 1 x Bn DPKR special forces .
Only weapons allowed are nunchako sticks and bamboo poles .
No time limit , last man standing wins.
Televised on Sky pay per view , all proceeds to forces charities.
Popcorn is extra.
Oh , and the N Korean birds cheer leading , in leotards , but some in school uniforms ... I digressOveractively underachieving for almost half a century.

It's a good start, but I'd sideline the SF guys and concentrate more on the schoolgirls - North vs South in dozen-a-side fist-off.

It's all just sabler rattering if you ask me
I loved the training. All we had to do was bayonet sacks full of straw. Even I could do that. I remember saying to my mum...."These sacks'll be easy to outwit in a battle situation"
