as the old saying goes, don't believe everything you read in the newspapers. especiallly anything from HURST. Those of us in the know, will know that almost everything he says is a total fabrication. After 22 years in province since 1984, (and still here!) all I can say is that HURST will say anything for money. A total Int nuisance in the classic sense. A real walter. One minute he says McG was an agent and next he says that he directed the terror campaign, responsible for thousands of deaths. I would agree with the second statement but how can anyone seriously believe that McG was a British agent? HURST is a dangerous liability with the world's biggest chip on his chubby shoulders.

On Gib, I think you mistake Daily Wail hysteria, for genuine public concern, and my recollection of the Loughall (and associated) events - is that seen from a PoV outside the Province, they raised nary a flutter from the average British voter. If it felt (in Ulster) as if some Brit advantage was unglued as a result, then that was symptomatic of the (understandable) self-absorption of Ulsterfolk, immersed as they were in the struggle, as a day-to-day impediment on their lives.

Drummers/Percussionists = Mercenary Bastards, worse than trumpet players IMHO and that's saying something.

Most of them are deaf and spend a lot of time trying to make others deaf as well.
