Next year Alex will release newly designed Scottish money and stamps to the Scottish people to bolster the sense of patriotic value to their country.
Alex is a much cleverer man than David and can out flank him.
David is Conservative and preservative.
Alex just wants his country back.
I guess the Welsh will be glued to this story as a prelude to the United Kingdom collapsing in on itself.If you find me intolerable at my worst, then you would not deserve me at my best.

What fecking "country"!? If you wind the clock back 300 years pre-Union, there was only a backward tribal landscape with no unified government and no institutions.
Modern Scotland and everything in it is entirely a product of the Union.
If Scotland thinks it has a right to self-determination, then presumably so does every other European ethnic group as at c.1707 AD.

I look forward to an independent Scotland, shortly followed by Sarkozy and Merkel telling Alex Salmond that he should be replaced by a technocrat because Scotland is not sticking to EU budgetary targets....
