The strange thing is I spoke to my dad less than an hour ago who lives in Charlton and he mentioned this story which he saw on local news, however its was very different

1. No mention of EDL
2. No comment about attacking police
3. Claimed that they asked to help the police but were told "thanks but we can handle it" and they went away peacefully

So either the local news or Ch 4 is bullshitting us

The attack by the EDL has been mentioned all day on BBC 5 live, BBC main news and BBC London news and on the evening news on most channels the fucktards can be heard chanting EDL

Very much like the left wing students (including those fine fellows from Class War) et al earlier in the year? So basically the EDL (right wing) and Left wing are both bad people because the attack the police, and both may have knitting circle, alothough I reckon the left would have an all wimmins arts and crafts group ...glad that clears that up then.
