Even if there weren't eighty million of them, there's still the Suez Canal. Oil prices have rocketed already due to threats to it.

I'm not saying that it's all flowers and rainbows at the moment, obviously there's a lot going on, but they're following it like a football match almost in the hopes that they'll get footage of some big kick off.

I might be wrong, but are the media gunning for a bloodbath on this?
It is going to take something on the scale of Tiananmen Square to quell the anti-Mubarak sentiment now.

Thats the key & why it is sending shivers around the globe, closing the canal would force oil prices up, even having the threat of an embargo on certain countries ships is a major concern! If the yanks hadn't stabbed us in the back in '56, it may have remained a truly international seaway with us or a international consortium of countries holding the reins!

We'd better invade it now then, better late than never. Aiming to bring law and order to the people of course, controlling the Canal would just be a collateral advantage.

O'Rielly? Did it look like that to you back in '79 when your Muppets got all sugared-up about deposing Mohammad Pahlavi in Iran? And paved the way for Khomeini and his bunch of Zombies. Which of course, allowed your Alpha and Zenith groups to steam into Afghan at the head of 50,000 badly dressed conscript monkeys....

How did that 'serious problem' work out for your lads, Ivan?

Be careful what you wish for.

Fascinating watching events unfold, but here's one headline I didn't want to see:

"The Muslim Brotherhood has told Sky News it is in talks with other opposition groups and the army about the removal of President Hosni Mubarak."

That's the very reason we should leave well alone and let our *cough* allies across the pond take responsibility. They hold the moral high ground over that real estate.

    IMO
Thanks to all who read my little contributions and don't shout nasty words at me, it means so much and I like the likes. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my parents for their tremendous support throughout my career and without whom I would not be standing here today. Also my agent, she's been my rock.

Do be careful though as Hector and his clique may descend upon you with their stock in trade proclamations of your inherent inferiority. And as it's the internet, they get off on it.

The Muslim Brotherhood is not as sinister as the name might suggest. Formed in (I think) 1947 to give us, as the occupying force, a kicking, they have been pretty cool ever since.
