Well we bloggers appear to have cost a young gentleman his job as a catamite (Ed: special advisor surely?) and should all feel pretty mean after saying what we did about Ffion's ass, when obviously she is still retaining a bit of fluid after her latest D&C...
Well if what said in here becomes reality ;- I'm fucking The Saturdays!

Clinton was a fool. He could have said 'I did not engage in sex with that woman' might have been technically true (assuming it was only a BJ). Instead he said 'I did not engage in a sex act with that woman' which left him nowhere to go once caught out.

WH's use of the word 'relationship' is catagorical. In anyone's book it means either long term loveness, or a ten minute shag. In fact, I can't think of any word he could have used that would be any more definitive.

Clinton was the victim of the American development of the English language, which has seen simple concepts like "now" become "at this moment in time" and the logical and highly plausible denial "I did not shag that munter" morph into his now familiar form of words.

WH could have been more categorical and cut to the chase as far as the tabloids are concerned by saying "We didn't bum or nosh off each other." Though I suppose that would still beg the question whether they indulgeed in some mutual masturbation or light frottage? Politics is so much more complicated than it looks at first sight.

    Daddy-pig says "Snoort!"

They used to say if an infinite number of chimps typed we would get the works of Shakespeare, the internet has proved this is NOT the case...

Having give the matter careful consideration, I have decided I don't really give a fuck who's drawers Hague rummages in.
It's an internet rumour, Hague has vigorously denied it all, some poor sod has lost his job.

Hague is no fool, he knows that if his categoric denial is proven untrue then his political career is over.
He would have admitted it if it was true. His career would survive being caught out as a puff, it wouldn't survive being caught out on a lie on that scale.

Spot on Jagman. It's a good example of how titillating gasps of 'ooh, it's been an open secret for years, a friend told me' can destroy a person's professional, and maybe, private life. If someone is that sure of their allegations and innuendo, they should have the balls to say it openly to the man's face, or they should STFU.

Lets face it, if it wasnt for the homophobic nature of some part of the political blogosphere and the red tops this wouldnt have gone this far.

Which is odd as Guido Faulkes et al being public school boys should be more thank ok ok with the buggery (and mistress) aspects.

Its sad that things like this will put another generation of young bright people off politics.

Now if we had the French attitude of expecting the politcian to not only have a mistress but his gaining of popularity based off how good looking they are then I am sure that would suck them back in.

Homosexuality is the perfect weapon to slur someone with. Every establishment mouthpiece will fall over itself to tell us how there is no stigma attached to it in these enlightened times, in this enlightened society, but we all know the reality is very different.

It's this official acceptance of all things pink that makes it so easy drop hints with minimal risk of legal action. After all, how can you sue someone for claiming you are something that is totally acceptable? I somehow think Guido wouldn't have been so quick off the keyboard if the accusations were of a more, shall we say, junior nature.

I dont think it was just quick off the keyboard there was a real sense of blood in the water, some uncomfortable veiled aggression, which there would not have been if the SPAD had been a pretty young thing.

Really showed the statistical rift in the above and below 30 yo cultural acceptance of homosexualty.

Well that's another Ffion mess he's got himself into.
Think of a herd of cats briefly all moving in the same direction due to a random quantum fluctuation...
