WikiLeaks has released a document set called the Afghan War Diary (AWD), an extraordinary compendium of over 91,000 reports covering the war in Afghanistan from 2004 to 2010.
The reports, while written by soldiers and intelligence officers mainly describing lethal military actions involving the United States military, also include intelligence information, reports of meetings with political figures, and related detail.
The document collection will shortly be available on a dedicated webpage.
The reports cover most units from the US Army with the exception of most US Special Forces' activities. The reports do not generally cover top-secret operations or European and other ISAF Forces operations.
We have delayed the release of some 15,000 reports from the total archive as part of a harm minimization process demanded by our source. After further review, these reports will be released, with occasional redactions, and eventually, in full, as the security situation in Afghanistan permits.

"A democracy cannot survive as a permanent form of government. It can last only until its citizens discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority (who vote) will vote for those candidates promising the greatest benefits from the public purse, with the result that a democracy will always collapse from loose fiscal policies, always followed by a dictatorship." Lord Thomas MacCauley 1857
Like or lump his politics try sticking 91,000 after action reports back in the box!!!
You'd be wise getting yourself a very thick pair of asbestos oven gloves
Not my problem any more-I just hope it doesn't help Terry too much but for some reason I doubt Mr. Assange and his supporters are all that worried about that.

You know, I read the story about this kid that leaked the information. Some people think he's a hero. I think he's a moron. You want people to know, fine. Take the information, secure it, put it away until *after* the goddamn war is over and don't spill it during ongoing operations.
I would think that treason may be a good charge for what he did, or espionage for that matter. Either way, I think they are going to send a strong signal to anyone else thinking of doing what that kid did.

He's Australian...I don't think you can pin a treason charge on him.

There should be a legal way of extraditing him stateside.
Also, there should be a way in which the newly announced cyber command can shut down his servers in Scandinavia.
The only useful outcome could be a more balanced & tougher approach with ISI.
DC can no longer credibly deny what has been a dysfunctional relationship since the early 80s.
For the first month of Ricardo and Felicity's affair, they greeted one another at every stolen rendezvous with a kiss--a lengthy, ravenous kiss, Ricardo lapping and sucking at Felicity's mouth as if she were a giant cage-mounted water bottle and he were the world's thirstiest gerbil.
