I like the fact that it is some kind of democratic activity going on. People standing for something real.
But at what cost?
I would imagine that they feel its Cameron's and the Conservatives responsiblity.
Cameron can take every single UKIP vote any time he wants, all he has to do is give the electorate its say on the EU. Should Cameron offer a genuine referendum on our involvement with the EU and UKIP will cease to exist, every one of the votes destined for them will go to the Conservatives.
It wouldn't surprise me if Cameron did just that. It would completely wipe the Labour Party off the political spectrum except in those areas where a pig with a red rosette would be elected as an MP. The Lib Dems could look forward to a term or two in opposition.
Considering that the Lib Dems are the most pro-EU party of the lot, be careful what you wish for...

According to one of those political persuasion surveys that was posted on here last year, my Euro Scepticisms led me towards being a Green Party Voter......!
From what I can remember and according to the amazement and shock of some other arrser's, I think that possibly quite a few people maybe got the same result as me.....!
If only I could find that Survey as with a pending General Election, now might be a good time for some to do the test.
Cheers. That's a relief, this time it was UKIP and not those fecking Greens. Which is probably just as well as I now have a 2.5 litre petrol X-Trail.....! :D
Are any of the other 17 users who chose Labour going to come out of the closet with me and bovvy? :P
Me. They are far from perfect, but I look at George Osborne and I seriously consider reaching for the sniper rifle I have reserved for President Palin. "For the good of mankind", and all that...
Before you criticise someone, try walking a mile in their shoes... that way, when you do criticise them, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes!
Yeah, thats right, because socialism works....look at all the fine examples.
Which fine examples are you thinking of? Because the various totalitarian 'socialist' states are no more representative of Western social democracy than Nazi Germany is representative of conservatism. Not every leftist is a Marxist, any more than every right-winger is a fascist. All three major parties in the UK share a committment to democracy and to compare them to the extremes of their respective philosophies (communism, fascism and anarchism) does each a grave dis-service.

Yeah - but stops having to debate about policies. Particularly if yours is a one policy party (Greens / UKIP/BNP) a no party policy (Conservative) or a "promise whatever you want" policy party (Lib Dem / Labour).
