I know and the whole mentality of the people in that region is at odds with being a Nuclear power. We may not be able to un-invent the things but we do need to stop proliferation.

    You are starking ravers...

    Nope…

The problem in the ME is that Israel courtesy of it's nukes can act and do what it wants safe behind it's nuclear umbrella.

Now, if some of the other side had nukes, they'd have to start acting like grown ups and abiding by other peoples national sovereignity and respecting UN Security Council Resolutions.
Yes because I'm sure Israel would have a massive change of heart over the Palestinian territories under threat of Iranian nukes...

Oh dear paperpuke, you do live in a strange world were you think posting obfuscation and wibble makes you intelligent.

Please explain why Israel hasn't attacked Saudi Arabia for instance that funds so much Islamic militantism? Could it be something to do with the CSS-2's they have and the open secret they can have pakistani warheads on demand to arm them?

Well, the fact that India and Pakistan both have nukes seems to have stopped the pair of them having at it at regular intervals.

Nukes tend to make people sit up and pay attention.

Er, because Saudi is a de-facto US protectorate? And even if did want to attack Saudi, would the best plan not be to take out the missiles in their fixed silos to prevent a counterstrike using them?

Pretty much after both sides got soiled pants when it occurred to them what a war would mean with nukes.

I believe it's important to differentiate between genuine anti-Septic or anti-Israel sentiments and vehement objection to the policies that both countries pursue. If it wasn't for the intransigence of the Israelis the conflict with the Palestinians could be long done and dusted. They're no nearer their lunatic dream of a Greater Israel now than they were when they illegally founded their country on Palestinian soil. So why not make a genuine contribution to world peace and accept a dual-state solution? Why be so unreasonably stubborn about it?

Odd stuff I've read, may have been the Arab press, can't remember says the other ME countries are afraid of Iran becoming the regional power and would be only too happy for it not to have nukes, no way is it the case of all Arabs vs Israel & the US that it's played out to be in the media.

Probably because the Iranians are not Arabs ?

The Russians sent a snotty note when one of their ships was damaged during the 1980s Iran/Iraq war. The response from the Clerics can be paraphrased as " First we will deal with the Ba'Athist unbelievers, then the heretic (Gulf) Arabs...you, the godless, are next."

Armoured dinnerjacket needs taking out and replacing with a more moderate leader also the nuclear facilities need disabling.

To launch a mass airstrike would only unite the people and turn them against the west. The civil unrest option should be exploited until he is overthrown and new democracy installed

Totally agree with your summation sir. Replace the mutha with someone who is popular with his people and neighbouring countries but do it from within. I'm quite sure there are Western powers actively working within Iran borders to stir the sh1t, possibly a bigger spoon is needed? And someone to take on the mantle of malleting the offending Mr DinnerJacket.
