Re: Missing Plod Found RIP
Are they not both dying IN SERVICE? Or is it just soldiers that are special on ARRSE? Where do we stand with dead RMP on the basis of cheap pops?
As for RIP threads, if you don't agree don't comment. Soldiers or copper.
Simple really.Making mock of uniforms that guard you while you sleep, is cheaper than them uniforms, and they're starvation cheap . . .

Re: Missing Plod Found RIP
Forgive me; but isn't the idea of a thread that you discuss the content. Or do you subscribe to the Politburo school of thought - you can have an opinion, as long as it agrees with mine.

Re: Missing Plod Found RIP
No one is attempting a POLITBURO course of thought: I wouldn't still be involved in discussion if I were.
I assumed it was about respect.
I accept my definition of respect may differ but reserve the right to judge accordingly
I look forward to reading your comments on the next soldier death-whatever negative perception you hold of their capbadge.
Or you could just show some decorum and accept that a death n service is tragic, whatever the circumstancesMaking mock of uniforms that guard you while you sleep, is cheaper than them uniforms, and they're starvation cheap . . .

Re: Missing Plod Found RIP
My second cousin Billy died last week. RIP.
I tend to think of myself as a one man wolf pack. Though when my sister brought Doug home I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack, it grew by one. So there was two of us in the wolf pack. And six months ago when Doug introduced me to you guys, I thought: "wait a second could it be?", and now I know for sure I just added two more guys to my wolf pack. Four of us wolves running around the desert together in Las Vegas, looking for strippers and cocaine.

Re: Missing Plod Found RIP
Just hold on there buddy. You may be misconstruing what I said. Are you saying I am not respectful of an RMP being KIA? Because if you are you are, you are WAY out of line. An RMP is a soldier first and foremost, and therefore would not attract the cheap jibes that a police RIP thread would, NAAFI or not. If you read my posts, I at no point act disrespectfully towards either soldiers or coppers. Having been a soldier and now a serving copper, don't even suggest it. I merely stated that if you post anything about a copper on whatever thread on ARRSE, somebody will have a cheap pop. I didn't say I agreed.

I agree and apologise for any crap I posted. I never directly slag the deceased off though. Only the ones that have to make a big song and dance about it.

MP-allow me to disregard your first paragraph. It answers no question asked by me.
You don't subscribe to RIP posts? That suggests you don't respond; the fact is you have which kinda puts your argument out of the window.
Even if that is not the response you meant, this thread ends RIP. It kind of suggests it's for condolences. Place your piffle elsewhere.
By all means have an opinion, but place it in the appropriate place. If you father/son was killed in Afghan, how would you feel if some ignorant civvy wrote all over a condolences thread saying he new the risks and chose to go?Making mock of uniforms that guard you while you sleep, is cheaper than them uniforms, and they're starvation cheap . . .

Re: Missing Plod Found RIP
This is getting surreal. I agree with you that it is disrespectful, hence my comments certain people making cheap jibes, which are uncalled for, and just that; cheap. I was merely stating that if you post a RIP thread about a fallen civilian police officer on ARRSE, some numbnuts is going to have a jibe. I think we are agreeing to agree there :D

The next time I deploy, I'll leave a letter saying "If you start an internet page in my memory, I'll come back and fucking haunt you until you go insane. Get me back, burn my corpse, and get completely batfaced remembering what a twat I was. Stick my phots in the family album."
