Whilst I'm here do you think it is right for us to have an extradtion treaty with the US that requires virtually no evidence on the behalf of the US to extradite or claim a criminal without recipricocity, yet within Europe the burden of evidence is reciprically high and subject to equal legal standards between equal nations?

Having referred to the European Soviet Union as such for some years, it is gratifying to read the 'Pravda' agrees with me.

I should point out that I have corrected on my use of the term and I have been told it should be:

The European National Socialist Soviet Union.

I am happy to be corrected on this matter.

We laugh now and snigger, but we shall be wringing our hands when the truth dawns upon us, and people like me, posting stuff like this, are 'disappeared'. It will happen.

Sarkozy taunts Britain as 'losers' in EU jobs battle.

If a bit of French gloating is not enough in its self then just draw your attention to just a few words in the report:

"the elevation of Michel Barnier, France's former agriculture minister, to the key financial post of commissioner for the internal market, which puts him in charge of supervising the City of London.

then draw your eyes to this wording:

"Mr Barnier, who will play a big role in financial reform and regulation"

    and

"worries in the City about a stricter regulatory regime orchestrated by Paris"

and finish with a No 10 spokesmen stating:

"We look forward to working with Mr Barnier on the implementation of vital financial reforms"

How do you feel about an unelected foreign Civil Servant telling us what to do in this country?

    I think it is wrong.

    'Astonishing'

Binnington, 23, and Atkinson, 24, also from Witham, were initially acquitted by a Cypriot court in February 2007, but that verdict was overturned by the higher court in January 2008 after they had returned to the UK.

They were then sentenced in their absence by the Supreme Court of Cyprus to three years' jail each."
