Bugger all. However I would prefer a Conservative "bugger all" to a Labour "bugger all", merely for the reason that Labour have been giving us "bugger all" for far too long now and its now the turn of the Conservatives to give us "bugger all" again. The Liberal Democrats are too busy buggering each other to give us "bugger all", and the BNP can bugger off.

I have never taken much of an interest in politics, have been out of work under the tories and Labour so no difference there.

All I can remember is a Labour government.

I think they are all as bad as one another. If one government introduce a new tax, the opposition will condemn it, but I don't see them rushing to abolish it.

Should the Tories come into power, I doubt things will improve. People will say it will take a long time to rectify the state Labour have got the country into.

ummm, not sure I agree. The Tories were the ones who allowed heavy industry to either be sold off to whoever had the biggest chequebook, e.g. the Japanese, Yanks, Arabs or run down.

Admittedly, labour have followed this course with gusto, but the tories were happy to fcuk the country over as long as they won their battle with the unions. In the end they won, but as a country we lost.

Rather simplistic view. Heavy industry was sold of to the Japs etc because they were the only ones willing to take the risk. No one else would touch UK industry with a barge pole. Was it the Torries Or the Unions that fcuked the country over. The battle with the unions was a battle that had to be one, or do you not remember the winter of discontent.

Made the SE of England a lot richer and made everyone else a lot poorer. Then Labour decided that they should continue that policy because they enjoy being part of the liberal metropolitcan elite.

I thought the original question was actually more to do with what the tories had done for the Army.

Engineered the biggest cut of the armed forces in living memory - Options for Change. Took us to war (in the Falklands) with crap kit in order to win an election. Let us all live in disgusting accommodation. Grant each and every service leaver a whopping £534 to retrain for civvy sreet. Nothing has changed. Just wait still SDR 2010 and it'll be the same story all over again.
