I really hope that the threats have the opposite effect. After living in the shadow of the Soviets for so long, I'm hoping that the flame of democracy burns brightly in Prague.

Just hang on till after the UK General Election and its game over for the superstate.

I would'nt be surprised in the slightest that the EU/Brussels will pull every dirty trick in the book to get the Czech's to sign before the Oct 29th deadline, after all the EU is extremely powerful right??

IMO Cameron has'nt got the balls to stand up to the EU & retain our sovereignty but miracles do & can happen

Yes, it's fascinating to watch……

The Eurphiles claim the future is so obviously bright as part of the EU superstate, it's obvious anyone would want to join.

Deeply disappointing. Here's me voting for Lisbon like all the other Irish and thinking I'm now as rapture ready as a Ted Haggard on Meth. Bloody useless IV Reich can't even do its bit to get the man coming around.

The thing that surprises me the most in this whole saga is just how transparent the EU politicians are. Some of the quotes I've seen attributed to them simply beggar belief.

Erm, surely a sovereign nation is allowed to do whatever the fu]ck it wants when it comes to making up its own mind? They're breaking no international laws, they're simply pondering a decision. It's entirely within the right.

I thought politicians were supposed to be devious and underhand. These lot are barely a step away from continental martial law and goose-stepping through the bleeding Channel Tunnel.
