Good for you, but I'm not convinced there's going to be enough of you.
I think that the result is a forgone conclusion. Sadly for the Irish and tragically for the UK.
Makes you wonder why all that blood was shed for Irish independence doesn't it?
And wonder why so much more blood, Irish, British, Commonwealth, Empire and European, was shed to be free from European tyranny.

Now we just give in because 'bribes' from Brussels overwhelm the Irish!

Sorry Grampas - both of you; sorry Dad and sorry to two of your brothers; and sorry to the millions who died for FREEDOM - just so a grinning'spiv' can appear to be 'important' and countless unelected functionaries may guzzle even more of our tax money!!!!!!!!!!

We'll have a special bunk in the RE-ED camp just for you.

We laugh and joke, but unless the unimpeded growth of this evil empire - for that is what the EU is becoming - is stopped and reversed, then firing parties and their like will appear and dissent and opposition will be outlawed.

Additionally, when this monster is lanced or implodes as surely it will, be certain that it will be British infantry with - please God - American assistance that will clear up the filth; and British and American tax-payers who will, yet again, pay to re-build Europe.

We the British, if any British remain, and our Allies from the Commonwealth and the Empire and the Americans, did not die in hundreds of thousands in two European started Word Wars in order that the same Europe should be allowed to develop, like some poisonous, disfiguring and cancerous growth, into an undemocratic, autocratic super Empire.

We should hang our heads in shame for permitting politicians, unelected and unaccountable, to get away with this deception and the wholesale theft of our sovereignty and our hard won right to be ruled in an open, honest and democratic way.

Is this perhaps a good time to start writing to all the heads of government in ALL of the EU countries to try and talk them out of making a BIG mistake in voting for this lying ****

If it is a YES vote... the NO campaign should ask for another referendum because they didn't get the answer they wanted.

It would certainly be in the spirit of democracy EU style... ignoring the wishes of the people.
"…all usurped and foreign power and authority…may forever be clearly extinguished, and never used or obeyed in this realm. …no foreign prince, person, prelate, state, or potentate…shall at any time after the last day of this session of Parliament, use, enjoy or exercise any manner of power, jurisdiction, superiority, authority, preeminence or privilege…within this realm, but that henceforth the same shall be clearly abolished out of this realm, for ever."

Sorry to take issue but the EU isn't actually an empire nor is likely to become one on its own.Furthermore it is not going to implode-the reason for both points is that it will,if left unchecked(which it will),become part of a World government consisting most likely of five large blocs-the EU,the African Union(AU)(already talked about in the media),the NAU(North Americal Union consisting of the USA,Canada and Mexico-how's the new 'toll' road going,Mr.President?)the South American Union(or words/initials to that effect)and the rest under the banner of the APU(Asian Pacific Union).Seems to me that they were not exaggerating when they mentioned 'The New World Order' after WW2-after all, where better than a bankrupt, battered, chaotic and politically supine Europe than to launch the pilot scheme/springboard for such a world government? As for the very pertinent point about the sacrifice of so many lives achieving the freedoms we have enjoyed since those dark days, only to watch as they are shamelessly thrown away by people who have made sure that the most dangerous thing THEY ever did was to put the cat out at night, one can only agree and wonder if,as maintained in certain circles, the whole undemocratic and dictatorial pantomime wasn't a US idea from the start? If so it will explain why the UK will never be permitted to withdraw from it.

If you spend any time in South America you will rapidly see there is very little chance for a EU-like community. It always amazed me, as you'd think a common language (or two close languages) would ease things, but no. As various locals have told me it all comes down to deeply ingrained distrust between the nations. The Chileans hate the Argentinians, Peru and Bolivia hate Chile (since they handed their arses to 'em in the war of the Pacific), everyone hates the Colombians, and no one seems to trust the Brazilians. Chavez is disliked, even whilst accepting his oil. Oh yeah, everyone sh!ts on the indigenous peoples.

BBC News reporting that the "Yes" camp looks likely to emerge victorious.

    Hail President Blair!

Never been to the place so thank you for your insight-had no idea that they were so hostile to each other but I still think it might all happen one day-it's almost encouraging to think that that day may be farther away than I might have believed-still no room for complacency on our own doorstep though.

Face it folks, or volkes - he's going to be Presidente!
What fucking voter fraud?....we're not Nigeria

BTW take it up with Intel, they placed full page ad's in every major newspaper and on TV for a yes vote....I wonder why a huge US company would do that?......maybe for fun?.

We already had the Irish American business council come out for it, one of the reasons we have all that FDI is because we are so close to the EU, and confidence in that is one of the drivers to keep them here and more besides.

PS we don't have a PM.....
No, you're not Nigeria - you're Ireland - nuff said.

Why on earth Intel is getting involved in what is basically Irish politics is fcuking beyond me!
