Why would we need to get rid of NHS style health care when it is already a devolved power and free to everyone? Oh and the price of presciptions are going down to zero in the next 2 years why? because we want it that way
Uhmmm no... it's because someone else is paying for it!
You are a one aren't you So no one pays tax in Scotland is what you are saying
You don't pay enough!!! Scotland recieves in excess of 45 billion, yes, billion pounds a a year via the Barnett formula.
If it happens, we're royally in the c[b]rap. A lot of water gets imported from Scotland, and guess where a lot of our power comes from? Thats right, them.
Once they seperate, we're royally screwed for power & water supplies to say the least. Not to mention, at least a few Army/RAF/Naval bases (I'd assume we'd lose the units, and bases?).
Oo, can I add, the referendum is estimated to cost £1 Billion if we have it? Which we'd be paying for, of course. Might mean we'd be rid of Gordon quicker though, as his constituency is Fife...
As a former British (not Scots, English etc.) soldier I have mixed feelings regarding what I see as a messy divorce, but I can’t see a problem with a vote on independence. Our forces are fighting for the right of at least one country’s self determination. Leaving corrupt politics aside many soldiers rightly believe that they are fighting to bring about self determination, and so it would be wrong, in my opinion, to deny a democratic vote on this matter. Despite being an old git I still feel there are principles worth upholding.
I would prefer a continued union, and a strong one at that, but not at the expense of the will of a democratic vote, or its denial.
Could someone answer one wee question, if the Scots are costing the 'British' economy so much why the hell does Westminster fight tooth and nail to keep hold of Scotland? Maybe, just maybe all is not quite as it seems.
As for oil being the only potential source of energy....Have a wee look at the Methane Hydrate deposits out West and then do a little 'digging' on the latest research on Methane Hydrate as a fuel.

'Cause we have 39 Labour MPs and 1 Tory out of 59 seats. Do the f*'k'n math.
