A Brit according to Sky:
Sky NewsI write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

Re: Soldier Joint Force EOD KIA AFGN 200709
RIP and sincere condolences to the victim's family, friends and comrades. As its name implies, the Joint Force EOD Group is tri-Service so this will have a wider than normal impact.
In 1953 the UK Defence Budget was 11.3% of GDP. By 1966 it had been reduced to 6.6%. In 2011 it is hovering around 2%. Good job we're no longer expected to fight any wars, isn't it?
