Biped, I agree with the sentiment, buts its "Her Majesty." "Royal Highness" is for other royalty. You ought to get it right, as I expect that Her Majesty is an arrser. (which might be an interesting idea for a thread, perhaps)
Brigadier Bill Aldridge, commander of British forces in the South Atlantic, responded by saying: ‘I am not expecting to hand the islands over to anybody and therefore put us in a position to have to retake the islands.’

Excellent news and about time to although I suspect that there might be some dissatifaction from families of those killed on training accidents, RTA's etc on non medal earning tours?

Maybe we finally have a medal that even the walts won't want to wear ... it's certainly one that nobody wants to win?

Years ago it was suggested that an apple a day kept the doctor away. But since all the doctors are now Muslim, I've found that a bacon sandwich works best.

I hate all this terrorist business. I used to love the days when you could look at an unattended bag on a train or bus and think to yourself; I’m having that.

Maybe you will be allowed to wear the little one having donated your foot and sundries?

Or a top strut mount for a tristar so that lads can get home from their R n R on time.

The amount of meetings and MP's time that will end up getting taken up not to mention production post and appropriate extra bits and bobs like boxes and citations etc will tip the odds over £400,000 I reckon.

By the way. Do get your facts right before being a smart arrse :D

In search of wealth as a strawb rather than seeking glory as a soldier I'm afraid

Apologies for being "picky" but the coronation of our Queen was 1953 old boy. I remember watching it on the old black and white titchy tv we had then..

    Apologies for Mong Maths
    I'll settle for £400,000

It's still diddly-squat in the great financial morass of MOD.

Pennies make Pounds though. In defence of your point they'll have more than enough cash when they scrap 6 regiments and 2 aircraft carriers.
