Re: Germany says it has a right to a homeland ......in Poland

Ah well, if crtain politicians had their way we will be tied to the French and Germans in defence matters.
Lord Ashdown said last wek that we must put defence in the shared hands of the EU, does that mean next time around we will be obliged to help Germany over-run Poland?

    From today's Metro

The eye-ties are in on it too!

Italy gives in to ‘mob rule’

There were fears that vigilante justice could hit Italy after legislation allowing unarmed civilians to patrol streets was passed.
It has led to the creation of a right-wing group called the Italian National Guard, whose uniforms bear fascist-like symbols.

It forced interior minister Roberto Maroni to promise that patrols with such an image would not be allowed.

    I didn't honestly.
I'm struggling to find the relevant section in Lord Ashdowns defence plan or in the Lisbon Treaty that covers whats supposed to happen when the Panzers roll East again.
Its all a bit confusing really, I'm not sure wether we are supposed to surrender alongside the French or help the Germans bomb Warsaw......

I'd go with the Germans. It's more fun to bomb stuff and kick untermench around than to practise surrender drills.

Yeh you have a point but if we go to war against the Poles then we will probably have to bomb half of our own major cities too. After all, there are as many of them here as there are in Warsaw, you see the dilema?
    Its all very complicated :(

Re: Germany says it has a right to a homeland ......in Poland

With some parts of East Germany being totally impoverished wealthy Poles are buying it up extremely cheaply,It´s cheaper to buy a house near the German Polish border than to buy a flat in Dansk/Danzig.As most Polish men are now in the UK working the unemployed Krauts are now doing their old jobs around the border areas, busses run regularly from Germany to take OAP´s to the hairdresser and to stock up their larders.

There´s an election in Germany soon(as many others have said) and the Ex Polish,Schlesian and Sudentendeutsch make up quite a few votes and whoever dumps them and their aims is deeply in the sh*t.In Germany owning property is almost a religion and once bought and your name is in the `Grundbuch´that´s it,it´s your´s for eternity and this is the basic element of Merkel´s outburst which is basically what every leader of the Conservative Party says dutifully before every election, that even though the German ´Poles´ were evicted they still have property rights and should receive compensation or their land back.

The refugees got dumped badly by the old Socialist Chancellor Gerhardt Schoeder who refused to let the Ex-Poles claims ruin Polands chance to join the EEC and in signing various contracts and treaties vetoed the exiles property rights,Schroeder lost his position later and joined the board of Gazprom!

No, the German´s aren´t preparing for a new war just the usual bollacks before an election so you can all put your DMS back under the stairs;)

plus of course you'll have to participate in a 'Captain Correlli's Mandolin' scenario with regards to the Polish forces that are doing their bit in a sandy/rocky place...as oppposed to the majority of the EU...'n' the cabbage eating Krauts can get back to the old habit of rounding up people into a confined space dropping the tailgate of a three tonner and letting rip with a MG42...much easier than getting out and facing 'terry'...cnuts...

I'm sure the germans would love to send some panzer divisions to afgahistan.

On a Hot morning in cyprus I found the meaning of anger. Fortunataly I was comftably numb.
The RSM and various other NCO's seemed very agitated.
maybe they should look into counselling?

Poland has been used by the Russians, germans, austrians for centries and has split poland between them in the case of the germans they cleared out the many of the poles in there area and shipped in germans to replace them just as they did in 1939, but the land was and is Polands and i very much doubt poland would give it up very easy this time round they have a very very good army

I could understand them wanting Ostpreussen back. The Russkis have no business being there and it's not even attached to the motherland. Strangely though there's no Germans living there anymore thanks to a swift bit of ethnic cleansing courtesy of Uncle Joe's boys so no one left to ask to be reunited. Even better, they get to point to the Germans and say 'well they started it' so no one gives them a hard time for doing exactly what the Germans get such a hard time for doing.

Re: Germany says it has a right to a homeland ......in Polan

Germany couldn´t afford to get Ostpreussen back, the former East Germany that they so stupidly and shortsightedly wecomed back to the Homeland twenty years ago has a whopping 40-60% unemployment in some areas, though the government spins statists there´s well over 20% on the official lists.Chancellor Helmet Kohl back in ´89 proudly announced that it´Wouldn´t cost us a Mark!`It´s cost Billions up untill now and about 20% of this has dissapeared without trace, simply vanished into a vacuum of theft, corruption and incompetance.
30% of GNP goes for social spending and in Berlin 1 in 5 are on state handouts compared to 1 in 20 in Bavaria,no wonder they don´t want a Bavarian Chancellor to get the country running again; The professionally unemployed and social security spongers want their money and are a massive lobby here.
Though you have to be a German Citizen to vote in the General Election it´s amazing how many former East Germans vote for Labour or even more radical Left Wing groups who never wanted re-unification and are dragging the country down into a spiral of financial chaos.
In real terms it means that the Communists have nearly won by simply draining the country dry untill either the poor revolt or the Government is forced to send back millions of unemployed foreigners,Turks etc which would spark civil unrest anyway.
The rich pay very little in tax and many have said that they´d gladly pay more, but this stupid coalition of Conservative and Labour haven´t got the balls to raise their taxes resulting in intense resentment. The Middle class in on the brink of extintion as bank´s just won´t lend money.I´ve just tried to get a credit for a used car to convert into a Taxi, though I´ve got great credit rating etc they refused point blank and wanted a nearly 80 % cash payment.

Germany cannot afford to even think of ´assimilating´old areas!
