Good morning Mr Brown, UKIP managed to squash the Tory vote, you're the Great Leader for another 12 months.

    Or.

Good morning Mr Brown, the Tories have destroyed your Party's last remaining base in the heartlands, loss of mandate, furious press & public, election demanded now.
Tories it is then! I was hung between them and the UKIP.

That's the thing, I don't mind who people vote for, we're all absorbing the same newsreels & broadcasting outfits to get our info, but in my head, normal Tories should stand by their party to kick this lot in the teeth. Abandoning the Conservatives because a few selfish maggots within the party fooked it over for moat cleaning, etc, isn't gonna make me let Brown off that easily.

A lot of people (17%) will be voting UKIP tomorrow, but Labour is on about 16% (tomorrow's Telegraph), with the Tories still dwarfing on 26%. UKIP will push Labour in to third or even fourth, but it won't mean feck all and will keep smug cabinet ministers at bay. Tory landslide will rock the Downing Street bunker once and for all.

Perhaps TheKing but what I want is a clear message to the Tories that I want out of europe.
No if's or buts, if Camerons wants my vote then he is going to have to be very clear on policy toward the EU.
Only a clear cut referendum with the option of ditching the EU altogether will get my vote.

Of the voting population of the UK, about a mere 25% are hardline Tories, come what may, true blue.

    About the same are Labour.

Tony Blair had to recapture the floating voter in 1997, about another 20%.

David Cameron is trying to recapture the 20%.

Within that 20%, do you think they all want out of Europe? Nope. Prob less than half do, but want a firmer line on the issue.

It would be stupid of Dave to pander to his DIEHARDS just to solidify his 25%, so he has to reach out and take New Labour's dissenters, that golden 20% that might not deliver Chuchillian prowess or radical Thatcherism, but it forms a Tory government.

That's just the way British politics envelopes.

I fully appreciate that. However that means Cameron will not get my vote in the EU elections.
The only way I can see the mainstream party's sitting up and taking notice about the strength of anti EU feeling is for one of the fringe party's to get a strong showing.
That makes UKIP worthy of a vote. It is a clear message that many of us want our say on the EU issue, simply voting Tory implies that their indecisive fudging on the issue is good enough. It isn't.

It's a fair point of view. But Cameron will become PM and the Tories will be in government probably for at least two terms now, so long as the economy improves.

He will not pull us out of Europe, unless he absolutely has to. Unfortunately for UKIP, truth is, most people don't care about Europe, it's seen as a very peripheral 'eccentric' issue to be discussing in the pub. We need good relations with them, 60% of our economy depends on it, but I think we need to right to govern ourselves, maintain our own armed forces and above all, be loyal to Liz the 2nd and no fecker else.

Pulling out of Europe will probably ruin us in the long term, we just need to make it a fairer, on-our-terms deal. If UKIP pressure the Tories to be tougher on the EU, then sure.

What happened to the Monster Raving Looney Party? Now I would vote for them. I know I should vote as women died to get the vote but it's difficult to decide which gobsh1te to go for.

Out of interest, does everyone know that Farage has claimed nearly £2million in allowances since he was voted into a job he purports to want to abolish
