I don't see much of a difference between the two, and I didn't see any evidence at the time that they saw any difference either. There was plenty of anecdotal evidence from UNPROFOR types that they were moving to and fro quite blithely, changing insignia as they crossed the border.
Nor does my history book tell me that when the Allies were wandering around Germany arresting war criminals that massive crowds tens of thousands strong formed up in Bonn and tried to force Adenauer to stop the extradition.
They can put as many soldiers in the field as they like, for all I care. It won't wipe away the blood.
We need people who look to the stars, holding the nation and the world in their hearts but at the same time we need down-to-earth people who can do serious and trying work.
In a definite sense, a country's power and prestige isn't only a reflection of its economic power but also a reflection of its people's quality and morality. Moreover, I think the latter is actually more important in the long-term.

I realise this won't exactly have the Defence Staff quaking in their boots, but I for one won't put a uniform back on again if there's the slightest chance I'll have to side with those murdering cunts. I'd rather go to jail.
There are over 500 Croatians in Afghan and they have been there since 2003, so i suggest you burn your uniform.
There are less than 300 Croatian troops in Afghanistan. The current number, circa 270, is the highest it has ever been at any given moment. Generally, it has been around the 100 mark for the past 3 years.
Even though you mention the number 500 twice, the quote you offer disputes this. How bizarre!

Most people have made up their minds about what went on in SFRJ dureing the 90s based upon blood allegience, newspaper reports and first hand accounts. If your blood is from one of the ethnic groups, that group never did anything wrong, and every other group were murdering swine - and so on.....
There were plenty of Croat murdering swine in Bosnia, Croatia and elsewhere irrespective of whether they were born and bred in Croatia or Bosnia or elsewhere (Canada, US etc etc). Many of their actions, or at least the results, were witnessed. Moreover, the Croats fought offensively as well as defensively.
Mali, just because your blood leads you to understand that the Serbs were even greater murdering swine does NOT mitigate or remove the Croat murdering swine from the equation.
