Book Competition : Company Commander
The final book competition for May is for a copy of "Company Commander" by Major Russell Lewis MC and covers his period as B Company Commander, 2 PARA in Afghanistan in 2008. For all those aspiring to be an infantry coy comd this is an essential read, for those who thought the OC just sat in the Coy office on the radio - read and learn!!

This is a great read and to have a chance of getting a copy go to the Survey Monkey entry form and complete the simple questions (correctly)
The competition will run until Sunday 3 June 2012 at around midday."Patience is counting down without blasting off."

Because one has suffered in years gone by, it is necessary to suffer more, which does not seem exactly fair.

200 paras relying on me 24/7 - what would I do?
I would tell them to speak to the Sar't Major, while I topped up my tan FFS!

William Ralph (Dixie) Dean (Everton FC 1925–1937) was asked if he was ever spoken to by a referee he replied "Only once"....."And what did the referee say?"........."Would you like a peppermint, William?"
