This might be wrong place to put it, so move if you will.

But does anyone know what happend? I mean I remember when everything was exciting, there weren't any worries about war, housing, money, terrorism (Apart from a few slips but they were the exception not the rule) and you know people looked forward to the future not dreading it I mean everything back then, it just seemed simple.

It felt like we where actually going some where as a country and a people and even as a world but now I don't know.

And I right or talking rubbish?

You’re not talking (or writing) rubbish at all. The beginning of the 1990s was when the whole Eastern Bloc around the Soviet Union collapsed. That was the signal for gobments in the western world that they could start to abandon any social-cultural measures designed to keep pace with the (sometimes rather dubious) social benefits offered by the Soviet Union et al. Capitalism discarded the “nice face” it had been forced to wear for decades and showed its true colours. Any responsibility towards normal citizens was largely abandoned in favour of letting finally Capitalists run rampant – just as they did at the beginning of the 20th Century. Since then, they’ve been polishing up their act and making politicians offers they can’t refuse and so we now have the situation that you only get something, anything, if you can pay for it. Basic humanity has gone out the window and been replaced by indifference to the heartbreak and suffering that irresponsible casino Capitalism causes.

We badly need a revolution. Jeremy Corbyn in the UK and Bernie Sanders in the US is a start, but we have to build on that. All of us.

Everyone was petrified of the Millenium Bug. But suddenly at 010001ZJAN00 - nothing happened!
and despite the fact it hadn't happened in New Zealand 12 hours earlier, Japan 8 hours earlier, etc. etc. I still had to go to work to watch it not happen and then ring America at the appointed hour and confirm that "Nothings happened". What fun life used to be.

Some one in a bank some where had a great idea, let's give everyone loads of credit, and sell the whole world a Ponzi scheme.

We are now paying for it.
