The NAAFI bar Read & Digest before posting - revised rules.

Status
Not open for further replies.
1. Do not attack people because of their race, ethnicity, religion, gender or sexuality.

2. Do not post anything that is operationally or personally sensitive if it isn't already in the public domain.

3. Do not post pornography (gash shots, scat etc etc) or links to pornographic websites.

4. The Mods reserve the right to remove anything else they don't like as well.

5. Do not harass or 'stalk' other members either on the open site or by PM.

6. Bans and O2 taggings are the likely result of violating the rules, particularly if we don't like you.

7. If you have any complaints about the content of the Arrse Naafi or Arrse generally, contact the forum moderators or the site admins

A warning, whilst this place is pretty robust I will not tolerate posts which link to porn sites.

The warning is final.

Post once and risk an O2 tag, post twice and get a ban.

In addition and reiterating old rules.

Think before posting!

Prior to starting a new thread ask yourself:

1. Is it funny
2. Will I be mocked,
3. Am I a c0ck
4. Has it been done before
5. Does it belong in a sticky
6. Is it appropriate for the NAAFI and NAAFI clientèle.
7. Do I belong ere, do I get it, am I just posting for the sake of posting
8. Will people benefit from my new thread / post

Just a bit of a refresher for the above posts and to add a couple of points:

1: If you are a never served civilian, please respect that this is a forum for soldiers, ex soldiers etc to chew the sh1t, catch up, tell lies and have their own little corner of the internet. You are tolerated as its naive to think that not all are bad and some genuinely contribute. Sadly of late there are increasing numbers of this type infecting the site and conducting themselves like cnuts. Knock it off or **** off and play somewhere you are either liked, welcome or wanted.

2: Sockpuppets - Why? If you are too gutless to have a pop just log off until you find a spine. Its not funny, really it isn't. Please just stop it.

3: Chatroom - its become a den of bitchfesting, fuckwittery and general cringeworthyness. Can the cnuts amongst you not just start a facebook group, msn chat or somewhere on the net where the remainder of the site don't log out after moments, complain or simply don't return. Ugly birds will be able to pull squaddies anywhere, they fill themselves up with beer and **** a bucket of mud, you've no need to infect the place with you attempts at banter.

Ask yourselves why there are next to no serving soldiers in there, apart from the odd six week served gobshites who will learn. Dale doesn't count.

Please spare us the yeah but no but yeah but no but, your a **** and a shouty angry man responses, its a formula thats worked since the sites inception.

I thought I'd give this a bump, loads of new threads have been started all done over and over again.
It seems an influx of unfunny trouts are also doing the rounds, no doubt all been here before but can't keep away.

Just to be clear: drunken threats of sexual violence against figures in the public eye, even if posted in jest, attract media attention to Arrse and not in a good way. So don't do it.

If I can add to this; those of us who rely on good will to be able to scrounge stuff for the site rely on the general wellbeing of readers. At the moment, the site is well thought of by publishers, authors and suppliers of all manner of stuff. Please don't bugger that up.

A very positive reference to AArse in last weeks 'New Statesman' no less.

A quick refresh for those new to ARRSE.

The rules remain the same. Take time to think "will it make me look like a twat" - even thinking that means Yes it will.

If you have a problem with anything posted on here REPORT IT. It's not hard, we have spent time getting decent software to allow you. Flouncing off to Facebook or worse your MP boss will not make you friends. We MODs can't view everything so you need to tell us what is crossing the line.

Thread Bans are temporary and designed to stop you either making a further cock of yourself or to stop a thread de-railing. Bans are normally for 7 days, if you are not happy speak to the MODs. Warning points accrue so if you are being a cock all of the time you'll get to find out how many points earn you a ban.

Finally - its not personal we find you all dull, unfunny and frankly as appealing as two drunks having to be held back in a bar.

Just bringing this back to the top of the page in response to a recent comment along the lines of "but it's in the NAAFI!"

This part of the site has its own rules. They are more lenient than those of the serious bits, and aimed at avoiding anything that brings unwanted attention to the site such racism, homophobia, prejudice based on religion and rape "jokes".

The second part is the bit about "is it funny, has it been done before" etc. This is to prevent us having to wade through yet another round of the same dull stuff.

Please do remind yourselves of them. It is getting dull having to moderate yet another thread by a comedian wanting to post racist rubbish about India, Muslims etc.

Just a reminder for some of you who believe you're the only ones to see or read something funny on the internet and wish to share it...

If you are simply going to post a link with no comments, analysis or any kind of contribution whatsoever - then put it in the Internet Links sticky; that's what it's there for.
