    Southern shandy-drinkin' jessie

GMOB - from about as far north as you can get without being a full-blown porridge-walloper.

Northern bigot; go tend your sheep, or wallop your horse, or herd the dogs, or massage your ferrets, or whatever it is you do in those uncultivated regions.

BTW, I do not drink shandy. I have been known to drink a pint or two of Yorkshire ale, because my son married a foreigner and I'm morally obliged to see him and this kids every couple of years. But generally we [and he and his OH] prefer a good Chardonnay, or Merlot, from the Antipodes. [Antipodes are not horse pills, they're a place].

Do you own a Cardie? Or a shed? Or a 'barn'?

    :)

The exposed hose-reel adds a distinctive Northern touch to the frontage of this excellent rural property ... :)

I rest my case, and non-existent cardie, M'Lud.

T'aint the front - it's the back! And garden hoses are allowed in back gardens!

Funnily enough I can't find a nice picture of the front. Wonder why :?

And I lied - I just remembered I have got a cardie but GrandmaMOB ses it ent fit to be seen dead in

Oh and it ent rural. It's smack in the middle of town. So

Cardies should be placed in the same category as baseball caps, with a "Proof of Age" requirement before purchase.

Baseball caps only sold to those over 20, with a parental permit.
Cardies only sold to those over 80, with a parental permit.

Women are, of course, entitled to do whatever they like ... as usual. :D

I think that's what you wanted to say. Tsk! Now, where's my pipe?? Oh, in my cardie pocket.

Something like that, but I didn't want to cause offense.

BTW ...as "The Former Pipe Smoker known as Mr. Cool" ... I never put any of my pipes in a cardie pocket. For obvious reasons. :)
