Christmas cards from the Soldiers’ Charity this year?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Why not buy your Christmas cards from the Soldiers' Charity this year?

The Army Benevolent Fund presents 11 high-quality Christmas card designs including the painting Christmas Leave by the military artist Sean Bolan, a modern take on the traditional Christmas bauble, and the poignant image of soldiers at Morning Service before operations in Iraq. All cards include the greeting "With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year" and come in packs of 10 cards with envelopes.

You can place your order via the ABF website at We recommend ordering early! As an added bonus this year the ABF has also included three new ecards which can be sent on free on charge, with 1p donated back to the charity from every card.

This year the charity needs to raise around £7 million to continue its work with serving and former soldiers and their families who urgently need help. We are very dependent on financial support and so we are asking our supporters and members of the public to please visit the website and consider purchasing our cards this Christmas.

Thank you for your continuing support.
