    Bargain Book Bonanza

The Reviewers of the ARRSE Book Club (ABC) kindly donated a lot of books for ‘Holidays for Heroes’ to sell at the Tank Museum Christmas Fair. This thread is for us to dispose of the ones we have left, still to the benefit of ‘Holidays for Heroes’.

    Here’s how it works:
Books are priced at Ł7.50 hardback and Ł5 paperback. This includes postage to UK addresses. They are brand new, read once by the reviewer and the ABC review is folded inside the front cover. They are sold on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

If there’s a book you like on the list, please bag it by posting a reply stating the one you want. In the event of two posters wanting the same book, I’ll use the posting time to decide who was first. Once you’ve PMd the payment details to me, I’ll requote the list, showing that ‘your’ book has been removed.

I’ll post the books on Friday, to be sure they will reach you by Christmas.

Thank you for your continued support. And now here’s the list of books.

    Hardbacks:
Scammell Vehicles edited by Bart H Vanderveen
Anthony J Cumming – The Royal Navy and the Battle of Britain
Carole Divall – Inside the Regiment
    Nicholas Evans – The Brave
Gordon Ferris – The Hanging Shed
Gordon Ferris – Truth Dare Kill
Ian Gardiner – In the Service of the Sultan
Mike Morgan – Sting of the Scorpion – inside story of the long range desert group

    And some unreviewed hardbacks:
Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman – Long Way Round
Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman – Long Way Down (two copies)
Charley Boorman – By Any Means

    Paperbacks:
Karen Harper – The Queen’s Governess
Alan Wilson – How to be a Parent Champion and add magic to your family
Ed Howler and Shiv Malik – Jilted Generation – How Britain has bankrupted its youth
John Mannion – Century of Jihad
Little book of Heroes – an anthology of poems written by British Forces Children about their heroes

I'll gradually add the links to the ABC Reviews, but want to get this thread started quickly, so 'watch this space'.

YIM could we extend the end date on these? OK People won't necessarily have them for Christmas, but maybe they'll spend their Christmas Money on them?

    I think that's a brilliant idea, GRB.

Let's say we let them run till 10th of January 2012.

And if someone wants any of the books for Christmas, no problem at all.
Just do it like Biscuits, it's still early enough and your book will be with you for Christmas Day.

Anyone else planning a literary Christmas, or a bookish New Year?
