I will make for the winning bid (and it had better be a huge bid!) a handcrafted quilt in the winner's choice of Regimental crest, Service Badge Capbadge, Sqn Crest or Ship's Crest.

The materials will be a cotton/polyester blend broadcloth with a polyester batting. Depending on the intricacies of the badge, the accoutrements of the applique will follow as closely to the orginal design of the crest/badge.

Because of the cost of materials and approximately 200 hours of work that will go into it, we'll have to put a reserve bid of 250 pounds to start off.

MDN will move this post to a separate thread as to keep the bids in somewhat of a reasonable order.

The auction will run until December 24th and end at midnight, GMT. The winner will be announced on Boxing Day.

Once there is confirmation of the monies being deposited (and held in Escrow until the quilt is delivered), the quilt will be started and the winner can reasonably expect to see it in about 4-6 weeks, again depending on the intricacies of the design and final approval of the design by the winner it may be more or less time.

Aye. Surely to save time we should just start at the reserve?

I'd be the envy of my fellow stabs to tip up on exercise with a God's Corps quilt. They may laugh but they'd be jealous on the inside.
