[2009 RBL Lot 49] - Veteran's Coin (No 8)
Most ARRSE regulars will be aware that we run an annual charity auction to raise funds for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Over the years this has gone from strength to strength and last year we managed to raise over £6000 pounds which is an incredible testimony to the generosity of you, our members. I'm sure everyone is aware of the excellent work that they do but, if not, then please have a look at the this thread.
This auction is for one of the UK Veteran Coins produced by Gundulph/Mitt Mayo. It will be one of only 10 coins to have the inscription "2009 RBL Poppy Appeal" on it making it almost unique

Please note that the auction will run until 1100 on 11 Nov.

Out of curiosity, do people need to give proof when buying one of these? It's a bit strange having "officially a UK Vet" if anyone can purchse them.
Just out of curiosity.....

Lets face it, you can go on ebay and buy yourself a VC, MM and Bar and a dozen Campaign medals. All it does is provide Walt bait for Arrse.

It was discussed in the Vets coin thread and dismissed as unworkable.
