Re: UK Armed Forces Veteran Coin On Sale Now!

If the coins tip up on Friday then I will bung all those ordered in the post first thing.

However, I am on the train to London at 1500hrs and shall not return until Sunday Evening.

I shall be around various drinking establishments, for cultural reasons, across the Remembrance Weekend and if anyone wants an Arrse or Vets coin brought to the Smoke, then I'll furnish you with my mobile and you can track me down. The delivery cost is a pint!

Gundulph that's absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much. Conny had better make her lists of things to sell in our 'It'll all be over by Christmas!' campaign even longer!!!!
And this you can see is the bolt. The purpose of this
Is to open the breech, as you see. We can slide it
Rapidly backwards and forwards: we call this
Easing the spring. And rapidly backwards and forwards
The early bees are assaulting and fumbling the flowers:
They call it easing the Spring.
They call it easing the Spring: it is perfectly easy
If you have any strength in your thumb: like the bolt,
And the breech, and the cocking-piece, and the point of balance,
Which in our case we have not got; and the almond-blossom
Silent in all of the gardens and the bees going backwards and forwards,
For today we have naming of parts.

Speaking of which, how did you all get on with the Flyer you were knocking up? the artistic half of Jonathan Smiles (not me ) did this for the book, based on the WWI Chrimbo Truce, a Coin one for you guys would be great:

Re: UK Armed Forces Veteran Coin On Sale Now!

Just occasionally I surprise even myself!

Veterans coins arrived this afternoon. All those ordered and paid for have been dispatched before last post today and should start arriving tomorrow! (Apart from those that get nicked by the posties!)

They are superb. See below close ups and one of the RBL special auction coin reverses.

The Hols4H coins are equally well engraved.

(No truth that the efficiency is down to my 12year old daughter and the fact I have to pay her! :( )

So, come on then, get your order in, the coins are cluttering my dining room and getting me mega grief from the missus! I just blame Gundulph!!!
