    Can I have 397 please.

As for personalization (that's how my spell checker wants to spell it - I'm not so sure, but I'm a spelling mong so what do I know) surely the edge of the coin could be engraved in the same way as medals are done.

Most engravers can do this - I've supplied and mounted several replacement medals and had them engraved at Timsons or wherever.

I noticed that someone asked if you had an idea about cost but didn't see a reply?

Since the original, and Vietnam updated, coins were intended to separate those serving from Walts how about only selling the coins to those that are serving or have have served in the military? This would be fairly easy to prove and validate. If that might omit other deserving cases (spouses, active charity supporters etc) then there could be some kind of sponsorship for membership - as they do for ArmyNet.

Just an idea before the civpop start squealing!

While that would be a good idea how would you expect people to prove their service?

I for one wouldn't be comfortable with sending my service details to a total stranger to verify.

Even though there are several people here who could verify my service, how could you be sure it wasn't just a web of walts spreading their lies?

The money is for charity, just let anyone buy one, it's only a coin not an OSM.

As I said, just an idea. Proof of Service is fairly easy as used to join Army Net or even some of the private forums on here. If it's simply for Charity then fine; the more the merrier but (from my reading) that was not the idea of the original or the Vietnam variant.

I am mildly ambivalent but happy to buy one and equally happy to prove my credentials (if required) as a serving military person.

Unless you made prior Military Service a pre condition to joining ARRSE I wouldn't see any point.

There can always be a follow up, 'I'm not a Walt' coin

I'll have the one numbered '007' please

Splendid idea, I actually like the original design. I'll bid for one of the first ten but in case it gets a bit too rich for my blood, can I have 777 please?

In the tradition of having Latin incorporated somewhere in all things military, what about Raptus Regaliter or Royally screwed filling the space above the rules on the coins reverse

So only the first 10 coins will be auctioned ?? After that, the others will be available to buy ?? Is there a price set for these ??

There will be Saintstone once the coins are produced and we know how much import tax will be slapped with... a Pound from Every Coin sold will go direct to Holiday for Heroes after those first 10 are Auctioned and after that, others with popular numbers may be auctioned...

Surely 'Raptus Politico' or 'Raptus Frons'- Its bloody treason to suggest that we've been screwed by the Royals when we all know who is doing the screwing.
