Does this apply to wounded Taliban fighters as well?

The reference gives a false impression...

War veterans currently receive a 34 per cent discount on National Rail with a £15 Forces Railcard, but do not receive any further travel concessions, unless they qualify for the Freedom Pass, meaning that for younger veterans only the most severely injured are eligible.

It is of course only war pensioners

    (see http://www.hmforces-railcard.co.uk/w...rd/eligibility)

    Which reference Cuddles?
I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

This scheme would be extended to those injured veterans. Rightly so in my opinion, they get screwed over enough by the compensation scheme as it is. Every little helps.
All us old farts have already got our national bus pass, thank you very much. :D

According to the link below, the National Bus Pass entitles over 60's to free local off peak bus travel anywhere in England, that should include Londinium.

War Pensioners who also receive WPMS can also receive the free 'national off peak' bus pass valid across England on local busses (separate schemes apply in Scotland and Wales but are broadly similar).
There isn't any scheme in Wales for War Pensioners, whether or not they are in receipt of WPMS
