I read on their webshite that one of the treatments they use is the 'Human Givens' that Jarrod comments so enthusiastically about.

Wearing presumably parent's WWII medals as well as GSM,
unit & poppy badge and crested blazer with corps tie there is
more than a little of "Hey! Look at me!"
Pity he hadn't opened the tin of Kiwi.
If the OP's story of Mr Shepherd, or his associates, approaching a former regular and now TA serving soldier's unit with a subjective non-medically diagnosed PTSD assessment behind his back, then this needs investigating as this "charity" have overstepped the mark big time. The Dogs bark, but the Caravan moves on...

Not a registered charity? Members of any professional, recognised body? Qualified in any way ?
This stuff in my opinion, for what it's worth, should be referred through the GP, a psychiatric nurse, or to Combat Stress.
Clinical or well qualified, recognised treatment, nothing less. No comment on the charity mentioned, no experience or knowledge of them.
In other news: the damage that "counselling" amateurs and do-gooders can do, no matter how well-intended, can magnify problems for years. They are a menace and should be flogged.
Counsellors, proper ones, study for years and are regulated. BACP recommends that therapists should have undertaken a minimum of 400-450 hours college-based therapy training.

Combat Stress don't need any introduction.
Just my views. And from personal experience.Last edited by Tremaine; 23-02-2012 at 03:18.
Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them

I'm very much afraid that the photo probably tells the story. It appears to be mainly borrowed plumage. Makes one think its all for the sales approach(?).
Still, according to this story he claims "20 years in the Army."

How in heavens name does a 20 year Army veteran permit the gross violation as suggested for this situation? It just doesn't ring true.

Who's sombat?I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

Had a quick google, apparently salute is an America charity, again for ex uniformed services, the only other link that comes up is a web address that is no longer active via the local burley rag.
