Re: Are you involved with a Forces Charity?

    Hi all,

My name is Mac Macdonald and I run www.FLOWforALL.org. It allows people to express their deepest thoughts, worries, emotions etc in poems or stories. We publish all we receive on our two sites www.ForcesPoetry.com and www.ForcesStories.com.

We also have a forum at www.FlowsForum.com where you can chat to likeminded people who want to help, ask for help or just want to chat about things in the forces or from their past forces careers.

Our Patron is Dame Vera Lynn (DBE) and we are currently waiting for our charitable status to be approved and then we'll be a registered charity.

I ask you to please visit our sites, see what we do and please support us. If you wish to raise funds by some event/sport/walk etc just let me know at Mac@FLOWforALL.org. Cheers all.

Our link to ARRSE is at http://www.flowforall.org/links.asp#arrse

    All the best

    Mac

    http://www.toeinthewater.org/

Toe in the Water receives no statutory funding and relies entirely on voluntary contributions from individuals, trusts and companies.
There are many ways you can support our work and help us to re-inspire, re-engage and re-integrate injured servicemen by using competitive sailing as a vehicle to help them move beyond their injuries.

    DONATE
By making a donation to TOE IN THE WATER you will be helping us to enter injured and able-bodied crews into racing events and regattas and thereby helping them to see beyond their injuries.

    CORPORATE SUPPORT
Your company’s support can make an enormous difference to the work of TOE IN THE WATER and therefore to the lives of the injured servicemen we seek to support.

Corporate image, product awareness, employee motivation, internal communication and even sales calls, can all be improved through charity involvement. Financial donations are always very gratefully received but there are many other effective ways your company can show its support for our work

    FUNDRAISING EVENTS
You can help raise money for TOE IN THE WATER and help us to re-inspire injured servicemen by organising or taking part in a fundraising event.

    SUPPORTERS UPDATE / TOE TALKING - Nov/Dec 08 Newsletter
Welcome to the first ‘TOE TALKING’ – our TOE IN THE WATER newsletter. I have to say I'm not much of a writer, but suddenly within a few moments I found myself throwing my own toes ( the ones that are left anyway) in some very deep water!! My name is Matt (Pieman) Kingston and I find myself appointed as the Editor of the eNews, bringer of regular updates, Toe members profiles and all kinds of other information for you to read. We, I say we, I mean the Toe Core Crew - will all have an input in this monthly newsletter and will endeavour to stay fairly informal and interesting, but at the same time bring you relevant news and progress reports.

    THANKS
Wherever TOE IN THE WATER goes from here, we are hugely grateful to the many people and organisations that helped us get off the ground and dip our first toe in the water...

Re: Are you involved with a Forces Charity?

Hi everyone we are a new Organisation in the process of becoming a registered charity. Below is a brief intro to us.

This foundation has been set up in memory of Pte Richard Hunt. A brave 'Welsh Warrior' who was the 200th soldier to lose his life whist serving in Afghanistan.

Our charity was set up in September 2009 and aims to help the Welsh service personnel or those attached to the Welsh regiments and their families.

The purpose of this Charity is two fold, firstly to raise money which will enable us to provided grants for items such as specialised equipment to holidays. These grants will be available to any Welsh service personnel and or their families or those who have served with or attached to a Welsh regiment. Grants will be given at the discretion of the trustees.

Secondly to raise awareness of the forgotten soldiers injured physically and or mentally and to assist in anyway shape or form to expose the REAL cost of war and make sure the politicians are doing their jobs. Hazel Hunt has already set the ball rolling with her superb documentary "Why did my son have to die?" with the Tonight programme:

It is Hazels aim make sure Richard did not die in vain and will continue to campaign to raise awareness in his and all the other fallen and injured soldiers memories. So watch this space!

We are a non - political charity, we believe that anyone who volunteers to risk their life at war, deserves to be given the utmost respect and care, during and after their time serving our country.

    The Richard Hunt Foundation

BE PART OF A TV STUDIO AUDIENCE!

Come and participate in the recording of Forces Reunited (working title), a new feel-good series by Leopard Films for Sky Real Lives! Join Fiona Phillips of GMTV fame as she relates the amazing stories of past and present service personnel, each one ending with a long awaited and unforgettable reunion.

The show raises awareness of the bravery, love, loyalty and comradeship practiced daily by every member of the British Armed Forces and the families' who support their loved ones. The programme will illustrate the enduring bonds created between soldiers fighting side by side in war zones and the unique relationships and situations which occur during conflicts. Join us in the studio for the moment when a returning serviceman finally lays eyes on his wife and newborn son after months of separation. Watch as Sgt Joseph Adams finally gets the opportunity to thank the Commanding Officer who gave him the blood transfusion that saved his life. See the reunion between Sadie the dog ,whose well trained nose sniffed out a bomb. and the soldiers' lives she saved in Afghanistan. Each story is unique and extraordinary. Don't miss this chance to support our troops and be in the studio with our celebrity guests!

Why does your Website http://www.challengecoins.co.uk/index.htm actually link to the UKChallengeCoins Website but with your name in the URL slot?!!!!! the form of the Tri-Service badge in raised 3D you have used for your coin is EXACTLY the same as our Veterans Coin design? Have you heard of the Arbitrary Forum? I certainly have, I lost my business Website this year to an American Company claiming I was stealing their clients as their website name was similar to mine! I'd never heard of them until I received the summons!

Not only have you heard of UKChallengeCoins.com but you have copied from our View Source code and pasted in your own Website, I saw your contact form and it links to this: http://www.challengecoins.co.uk/index.htm

Does anyone in ARRSE know more about the legalities of this?

All very anonymous. No contact details except an email address.
At the moment I would touch it with a barge pole.
I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.
