    Re-enactors maybe?
Those Royal Marines looked real enough to me last year, but I'm only a civvie myself, and I was wearing a SSAFA hat. Does that make me a Charity Walt??

I met some lovely folks there, including the Aden Veterans, who I didn't even know had an organisation.
And this you can see is the bolt. The purpose of this
Is to open the breech, as you see. We can slide it
Rapidly backwards and forwards: we call this
Easing the spring. And rapidly backwards and forwards
The early bees are assaulting and fumbling the flowers:
They call it easing the Spring.
They call it easing the Spring: it is perfectly easy
If you have any strength in your thumb: like the bolt,
And the breech, and the cocking-piece, and the point of balance,
Which in our case we have not got; and the almond-blossom
Silent in all of the gardens and the bees going backwards and forwards,
For today we have naming of parts.

Like once of the really swish baseball caps I have gathering dust here.
I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

    Joker,

I have floorspace if you don't mind sharing it with Snail!

I'll put you down as a possible, and we will arrange accommodation nearer the time. The offspring has a tent, so I can always put him in that in the garden ....

That'll be the one. It was such a hot day, and none of the grownups had brought drinks for anyone but themselves, so I borrowed a hat. I did sell more of their lovely raffle tickets whilst I was wearing it though.

If I'm still living in Weymouth at the time, I'll quite happily do any fetching and carrying, etc, etc. I'll even see If I can provide some transportation!
