Re: Gen Dannatt sends his best wishes to ARRSE Rumour Mongers
Great News!
I would like to promote Hols4Heroes on the service-related websites I help run but can't find its entry on the Charities Commission website. Would someone involved provide the Reg No so I can pre-empt any doubting Thomases about its bona fides, please? In 1953 the UK Defence Budget was 11.3% of GDP. By 1966 it had been reduced to 6.6%. In 2011 it is hovering around 2%. Good job we're no longer expected to fight any wars, isn't it?

It's on my growing list of things to do. However, just noticed he is on Question Time in two weeks time.

The programme is coming from Wootton Bassett that week. Perhaps we should all email the same question to Dimbleby " Has General Dannatt got his ARRSE coin with him"
What d'you think?

Re: Gen Dannatt sends his best wishes to ARRSE Rumour Monger
That would indeed be brilliant, just imagine him getting his ARRSE Coin out on the show and then telling Dimbleby to get the round in after the Show as he just made a 'Coinless' Coin Challenge!

Re: Gen Dannatt sends his best wishes to ARRSE Rumour Monger
Right
So a coin to Dimbleby explaining all about it and asking him to take it on the show?
A Letter to the General telling him Dimbleby has a coin and to take his and Challenge Dimbleby?
Lets get the best scenario sorted in our minbds and I'll send off the coin and letter(s)

Re: Gen Dannatt sends his best wishes to ARRSE Rumour Mongers
MM - the question everyone needs to ask by email could be along the lines of:
Explanation of the coin.
Challenge.
Question: What about support for the wounded, should charities like Hols 4 Heroes have to carry this burden or have the Government & MoD broken the Covenant?
Whaddya thinks? This is the voice of the Mysterons.............

Re: Gen Dannatt sends his best wishes to ARRSE Rumour Mongers
Sounding good. Lets not refer to it as a charity yet, as it isn't registered. Charitable organisation.
like the explanation, the challenge would be good, but we must warn the General to have his coin.
We have two weeks to sort this, from last night.
Lets bottom out the exact idea and wording, then we can all send a generic email to make it impactive, and I will send the coin to DimblebolloxBUY YOUR ARRSE COIN HERE :-

Apparently, you can text questions in as well on 83981. All tickets for W-B have gone already, not surprising really.

Re: Gen Dannatt sends his best wishes to ARRSE Rumour Mongers
It could be a Charity if Help 4 Heroes amended their ruling that they only help with donations to other charities that are NICE accredited (It takes 15 years and £15million to be recognised by nice) a charity like Talking2Minds who applied to H4H for help were turned down as they weren't members of NICE ( a bit of a chicken & egg scenario!) £15million would enable T2M to treat 9,000 veterans.
