TG, while I understand your point of view about the MS technical superiority, I suspect that most owners of any of the bikes in that class will, in reality, be doing similar riding. that is to say mostly on good roads with maybe a little dirt road/gravel track but no attempt at real off road. Many will never leave the comfort of metalled roads.
Samm,
The Tbird should be fine for Euro-touring. I know one rider who switched from Harley and has ridden to/from Germany without complaint on one. It was the standard model, not the storm, but I doubt the differences are that significant, provided the bars/seat/peg geometry suits you.Guests are requested not to feed the vampires.

If the new Tiger Explorer, is only going to be perceived as a competitor for the new Kawasaki Versys 1000, and the Honda Crosstourer, I doubt Triumph will even achieve their own modest sales target of 10,000 a year.
The new Versys is a nice bit of kit, shame it comes in such an awful yellow colour though. I much preferred the red from last year.If I had balls they'd be bigger than yours.

Just a bit of "look at me, look at me", I had a Triumph Tiger 955i - fucking mint. Had it from new and only sold it last year due to one 'scare' too many. Fucking miss it.

I like it but will almost certainly not buy one! Nor will I be buying the latest sportsbike from Ducati, beautiful as it is. I will simply say that both are very good and I am sure there will be lots of satisfied owners. Biking may be under attack from Brussels but the industry is putting out some really good stuff these days. Buyers with cash are spoilt for choice.

Sir Walter Raleigh declared in the early 17th century that "whoever commands the sea, commands the trade; whosoever commands the trade of the world commands the riches of the world, and consequently the world itself." This principle is as true today as when uttered, and its effect will continue as long as ships traverse the seas."

Not that I’m jumping to conclusions or anything . . . but, it seems that BMW might be just a little “rattled” by the recent introduction of the new Triumph Tiger 1215cc Explorer
