DGSE were also involved in shipping weapons and had personel in our location for advisory purposes and liaison . Learn something new every day !!
They obviously weren't regular US troops though were they? Mercenaries? There were plenty of them about in 92 when I was there on Grapple 1. Seem to remember that one of them was topped in Divulje Barracks by the Croats - interesting mortuary video that was!!

I spent a lot of time in Bosnia, 4 x 6 month tours actually and 3 x 6 month tours in Kosovo & it haunts me, I cant stand the smell of copper it reminds me of the places I went in! I can't handle the way the women were raped and beaten, the men were taken away & mass murdered, the children asking me for food and some of the guys in my section giving them hexi blocks... it was a vicious war on all sides, even some of our guys were out of order... using female interpreters... offering them jobs if they slept with them... I remember loads of abuse on all sides and I feel sad at my lack of ability to say something to them... dont get me wrong! Im not PTSD or weird just felt empathic towards all the suffering... I would love to go back and see the positive changes but I know that it wont have! you can't change 800 years of hatred back in 20!

ShelleyBLawrebce: ".. you can't change 800 years of hatred back in 20!". You're right there. The animosity between the Serbs/Albanians/Croats and anybody else in that region with a touch of Christian v. Muslim added in for effect is astounding.... and, unfortunately, it's here in our town and I've witnessed it too in the Fatherland. The garlic breath Slivovitz soaked and BO reeking Serbs pick fights with the Croats and, as is usual now, rip off every benefit going. 800 years in 20... fat chance.
    If in doubt, brew up!

For what it's worth, my uncle was a diplomat and spent time in jail earlier in life as a political prisoner, so take that to the bank sunshine.
Judging from your posts if your family were the same then quite frankly it's a shame they only killed half.

Fair 'nuff. Bomb the Balkans I say... at least we'll get some Lebensraum and fertile soil.

Just ban all Serbs and Bosnians from the internet, then we won't have to listen to the endless fucking drivel. The cunts could put the SLR and Harrier obsessives to shame.
