Hi guys. I've managed to get 'Chieftains' on to Kindle. I am still trying to get it into Amazon as a paperback. It isn't easy. I'm working on the cover and it should be for sale later this week for about £8 or so. I'm not particularly computer literate, and at 83 years old it isn't easy. Just hang on in, I'm getting there.
Regards to all.

Hi All...News about Chieftains in paperback....
At long last I've managed to get the paperback of Chieftains printed. It's been a sod, and gave me more than a few migraines. Eventually, the cover was sorted for me by David (Old Grey Whiskers on radio..) Thomas, who was one of the mob serving in Germany in the fifties, but who is now something of a wiz with computer design.
From today you can get Chieftains, in paperback, for whatever the exchange rate of the day is, for $12 which is about £7.75 at today's rate. The place to get it is Create Space. It will be 'brand new and shiny and untouched by other human hands. I think it takes about 10 days to get it as it's publish 'on demand'. So anyone wanting a copy, go to Create Space.
It is a slightly different cover to the original and the paperback is slightly larger than the original..so for those who have the original book, you may have paid more for it but you've now got something quite unique.
I've decided that some of the cost of every Kindle e-book version sold will be donated to an army charity. I haven't decided which, yet, so suggestions are welcome.

Good news. I have bought the Kindle version but my wife wont let me read her Kindle so haven't had chance to re-read it yet. May just pop along and buy a paperback.
Charities:
RBL or ABF are as good charities as any - please, please, please NOT H4H. Everyone is raising money for them and forgetting there are lots of service charities out there that do an awful lot for ex-servicemen not just H4H.When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains, And the women come out to cut up what remains, Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier. So-oldier of the Queen!

I think there's some new charity to do with battle trauma, but I'll wait and see what you guys come up with.
