To eat well in England one must have breakfast three times a day

    Somerset Maugham

London: its "buzz" and "vibrancy"... can be codewords for drugs, late-night noise and multi-culturalism run (literally) riot.

Just finished The Silver Eagle, now on Road to Rome. After that as mentioned already The first man in Rome.
Look at an infantryman's eyes and you can tell how much war he has seen.

I've now got it as an ebook if that's any use to you. EPUB format (format which is used by Smartphones and tablets) - you can also download an ebook-reader for your PC which reads this format (Calibre).

Thanks to all who nominated Lindsey Davis's "Falco" series. I'm reading "The Silver Pigs", and I have to say that I'm really, really enjoying it.
