Borrowed a book a couple of months ago, with nothing else to read and was hooked straight away, i am now onto Sharpes Gold. I buy from Amazon and generally get a Hardback for Â£2.80 Incl P&P but Sharpes Gold, I had to settle for paperback as the cheapest hardback started at Â£50

It must have been gold leafed. :D

Same happened to me at Nanyuki, Kenya many years ago, someone gave me Sharpe's Eagle and over the years I have now read them all!

I agree and occasionaly i laugh ot loud whilst reading them, the missus asks "whats so funny" so I am trying to get her to read them, no luck so far :D

yup, including a blonde woman (quite tasty) and a brunette (who has a constant look on her face of "Did I leave the oven on back home?)
