I got this too....I haven't read any Terry Prachett before but I'm going to give it a whirl. I recently picked up a copy of 'Hostage' by Con Coughlin (I think I've got that right) in a charity shop; I was only a kid when the Lebanese hostage crisis was going on and so although I remember seeing Terry Waite on the news etc, it made me realise just how much I didn't know. A most interesting read.

Just finished-The da da de da da code, by Robert Rankin, a sort of grown up Terry Pratchett, and it has a free CD to go with the book!

Unseen Academicals was ok not one of his best.

Just started Under the dome, Stephen King which looks good.

Firelord by Parke Godwin is well worth a look.

"Sniper One" is very up-close and personal - not suitable for u-18s and paintballers.

I've just read Kilcullen's "the accidental guerrilla" a fine read.

Its a shame that it wasn't published before the helmand venture was made
