Howdy folks

Well I have had a wee look through since being made Blogs Mod and it has to be said that there is some utter dross in here. Needless to say, I have deleted a large amount of it already.

Some of you seem to have absolutely no idea what a Blog is. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog if you aren’t sure or don’t know. Otherwise just try Googling “Blog” for information – capiche?

So, here we go, with examples of what is NOT going to be accepted in the Blogs Forum.

Cutting and pasting poems – if you want to quote poetry go and do it in the Literature Forum. Sorry, Uncle Albert, but your Blog Post Count is going to drop pretty rapidly. Adding poems which keep in the context of the Blog post, however, IS acceptable.

Looking for advice on equipment – go and ask in the QM & MT Forum – the blog is NOT there to ask how to bull your fecking boots or what polish to use or if any one think South African Assault Vests are the dogs bollocks.

One liners like “Keep low and move fast” – bollocks like this is going to get deleted straightaway. Other one liners like “I feel good, even though I have a mother of a hangover” is going to get punted as well. Unless, of course, you say WHY you are feeling good and how you got that mother of a hangover – which is the whole point of a blog.

Posting website links – say bye bye it’s going to get binned.

On the whole, if you start a Blog Thread, you should really be adding to that same thread in the forum all the time.

Please don't add new Blog Threads all the time unless you are starting a new Blog Thread or Blogging on a new subject. I will, over the course of time, be merging a lot of users threads so that they form one Blog Thread, wherever possible, for that user. You may have seen me do this already with the "Pre-Para Beat Up" and "The Musings Of Uncle Albert" Threads.
