    ETS OFFICER

Has anyone got anymore information about being an ETS Officer, all I know reading from the Army website and reading pamphlets that the Careers Office give out is that.....

-You need to go to sandhurst and get commissioned

-You need a degree before getting the job

-AGC has to want you to join ETS as well as your personal preference

-You do a 9 week course after finishing Sandhurst and then a PGCE degree alongside teaching which lasts for 2 years.

But then what? Where can you work, Uk and Abroad, what is your main role on operations? Do you just stick to teaching, if so, who do you teach, officers? Soldiers? Recruits?

If anyone has got any experience working as an ETS officer that can answer my questions, that would be a huge help!

Copied from blogs (original entry) - post comments here.

Might I recommend you duplicate this post in the Officer forum or Officer Recruiting forum. It (mostly) full of helpful souls willing to share their knowledge and experience on such matters, and will most likely get more coverage than here.

I don't think it needs to be much more technical than just copying your original message into a new thread on the officer careers forum, or even the "professionally qualified" forum. I think it's only MODs who can fully 'move' an existing thread; I'm sure it'll be no problem to just start a new thread in the right place.
